I accidentally stumbled into the enchanting world of The Legend of Zelda one afternoon and absolutely loved it. Of course, being a Super Mario fan, I was shocked to learn that this game was seen as the most important video game series ever — especially for anyone who was a fan of puzzle-adventure video games. The Legend of Zelda series unfolds with Link from the elf-like Hylian race, and Princess Zelda, with magical powers inherited from the goddess Hylia. Together, they battle to save Hyrule from Ganon, through a blend of puzzles, action, and exploration.

Nintendo recently released the fifth mainline, third original, and eighth total game in The Legend of Zelda series on the Switch. This new entry tells the first new Zelda story since The Breath of the Wild. And to make things even more exciting, it’s the first The Legend of Zelda game where players actually play as Zelda, bringing us full circle from all those jokes about Zelda being the protagonist throughout the decades.

Little did I know the strategies required to navigate through Hyrule’s landscapes and dungeons would mirror the complexities of exploring marketing opportunities in the business realm.
